Reflection
- Intimate partner violence is important to me because I know a very strong woman that endured violence for seven years. She was too afraid to leave her boyfriend because of their children. For seven years he brain washed her, making her believe his abusive behavior was appropriate. It took her a long time to realize that she was in an unhealthy relationship. The toughest thing for her was to open up and let others back into her life as she suffered from flashbacks and anxiety. On a good note, she received professional help and strengthened her relationship with her children. Ultimately, I chose this topic because I want others to recognize domestic violence and the methods to prevent it from occurring to you or others.
Even celebrities endure domestic violence so can YOU!
