Gun Right VS Gun Left
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Who are the right people?
Gun and its related violent acts, along
with the deeply rooted fundamental rights of the 2nd amendment, have always
repeat itself in the history. With full awareness that mass shootings have always
repeatedly occur in our schools, the politicians have done nothing revise or abolish
the current laws to stop this violent acts, but to condemn the violent attackers.

How the Democratic president responds to the mass shootings
How the Republican president responds to the mass shootings
Despite the fact of those who are maliciously murdered in the mass shootings, Presidents from both Republican and Democratic parties have never addressed the problem that is deeply rooted in the Constitution-The right people to keep and bear Arms, but only offer condolences on the loses of the families and condemn the shooters.
California Gun Law
Current California firearm laws have nothing
to do protecting the Constitutional rights, but deprives the rights of people to
bear arms. By implementing more rigorous restrictions on firearms, to a degree
which people are impossible to own, the right people to bear arms is only taking
effective on the letter of law.
AB 1135/ SB880
The bills are signed by Governor Jerry Brown and intended to ban all assault rifles, such as AR and AK types, by eliminating all the evil features
Characteristics of an Assault Rifle
- folding or adjustable stock
- pistol grip
- forward vertical grip
- lash hider or suppressor
The bill also allow firearm owner to register their AR and AK types of fire as an assault weapon.
California new penal code requires all ammunition buyers to have a valid ammunition license before purchasing any types of ammunition and also requires that ammunition vendors upload of purchaser information, such as caliber and quantity of the ammunition.
I am a Navy veteran and a gun activist, and
I believe that the right people to bear arm is very important, because the
right people have to mean to protect himself. All those gun laws are not going
to prevent any mass shootings but it intends to deprive the rights of the
law-abiding firearm owners, and criminals are not going to follow those laws. Therefore
such laws are useless. It is extremely hard to both in this world,
protect the right people to bear arms (2nd amendment right), and at the same
time, we have to stop those heartless and madness mass shootings. We have to
find a middle ground for both sides. Because this is a democratic country, we
listen to the voice of the people.
Although the 2nd amendment protects the gun right in this county, such laws were written two hundred some years ago. The modern society already has had a dramatic shift now, therefore, such law has to keep up with the time. People should not have unlimited right in the certain thing if they are also part of the society. Laws should be established for the purpose of protecting public safety and people’s rights at the same time. I mean the psychological parts of those gun owners, more laws should be emphasized in the area. Those gun laws cannot stop mass shootings but a purely political struggle between two parties. The question is simple that take away all the guns from the society, therefore, you solve the problems. Politicians don’t care about those people killed in the shooting but the interests and profits of firearm industrial.

All my interviewees, students of CSULA, regardless their political affiliations and other circumstances, agree on that gun control is necessary to reduce, stop, and to prevent mass shootings, but there are two completely approaches about gun rights and gun controls.
First, students want to abolish the 2ndamendment completely as like as many other countries, such as Australia, Japan, and England. The question is: who are we going to blame next killer when we get rid of all guns? Politicians? Interest groups? Or Ourselves?

On the other side, those students who support the rights of the 2ndamendment is because they are the interest group and love guns and shootings. Therefore, they believe that more restrictions and regulations are going to prevent next mass shooting. As long as not taking their gun rights away, they are ok.
Both approaches will not solve this problem, because the real truth behind this crisis is that the politician parties do not want to give up their real politician interests. Now, it turns into a pure political debate, using by both parties to gain political leverages.
The intention of this blogger is to rise issues on gun rights and to stop gun violence, and at the same time is to maintain a high degree of democracy in this country. Gun violence seems very far away from us, but when it happens, it is just too late.
Is it acceptable to lose a few lives every year to keep the right to bear arms? Are we willing to pay that price? otherwise?
