Do Video Games Cause Violence in kids?

Why Take-Two's NFL Deal Won't Impact EA's “Madden” Franchise | The ...

Millions and millions of people play video games everyday around the world. The game, Call of Duty Modern Warfare has already sold over 1 billion USD. Each copy of the game costs 60 USD so there are over 16 million active players on Call of Duty alone! With all these millions of players around the world why does it seem like the gun violence only happens in the United States? If video games causes kids to become violent it should happen in all countries.

In the book, Aggression and Violent Behavior,  it states, "previous experimental studies have tended to use a measure of aggression that may also measure competitiveness, leading to questions about whether violent video games are related to aggression or competitiveness." Many of the times in my case it's not aggression but just me being competitive. I also play sports and it's the same feeling I get when playing video games.

I felt like this was important for many young people because many of times after a school shooting or violent gun violence in America, the media is so quick to blame "violent video games" instead of the guns actually killing people. People want to ban video games but not ban guns, it makes no sense. I cannot do any damage with virtual guns but with real guns I can actually hurt and kill people.
