Homelessness is important to me because of the fact that I have volunteered at an organization that helps homeless people. It is also important to me because both of my aunts have worked for a very long time in the organization that I volunteered. This organization helps fund housing and different help for the homeless. I have seen my aunt both work in this organization since I was younger and it has inspired me to want to do the same and help out in any way. I know that many people that are homeless don’t know that there is lots of help out there to them so they just end up in the streets years after years. There are many homeless people especially close by where I live.
Homelessness is relevant to members of my community because of the fact that homelessness can have a bad impact on our community. Homelessness can have a bad impact on our community because of the fact that some homeless people use drugs, and have trash in the streets people walk alone in. My whole life I have lived close by to Downtown LA. Many people that are homeless live in the streets of Downtown LA, for example around Skid Row. Homelessness is also relevant to members of my community because where I live in South Central we are also able to see homeless living in the streets in our community and asking for help
